In the United States, April is recognized as National Child Abuse Prevention Month (NCAPM). Though it can be a tough and sensitive subject, it is important for everyone who works with, lives with or parents children to be aware of the many ways our communities and families can work together to prevent child abuse and neglect. The goal of the NCAPM is to connect people to the many resources and preventative services that are available in their community in order to keep our children safe from harm and to assist in strengthening families.
