We hope everyone had a wonderful winter break. As a reminder, Winter Festival is coming up next Thursday, January 16. Join us for a magical night of winter fun! From shimmering snowflakes to twinkling lights, McMeen will be transformed with wonder and enchantment. Enjoy free festive activities, a hot chocolate bar, and joyful moments. We still need donations for the raffle (due Jan 14) plus volunteers to work a shift at the event. Visit mcmeenpto.org/winter for details and to sign up to help.

🗓 Family Engagement Night: CSC & PTO
When: Wednesday, January 29 @ 4:00-6:00 PM (CSC 4-5 PM | PTO 5-6 PM)
Details: This year, CSC, Dual Language, and PTO meetings will be held in-person as part of family engagement nights. Childcare and dinner provided. Spanish and Arabic translation available.

🍽 McMeen Eats @ La Fogata
When: Tuesday, January 21 @ 4:00 - 9:00 PM | Flyer
Where: La Fogata, 5670 E Evans Ave, Denver, CO 80222
Details: Dine-in or take-out from La Fogata on January 21, and they will donate 20% of sales right back to the McMeen PTO! Show the flyer or mention “McMeen" at checkout. (La Fogata provides free breakfast burritos for the McMeen Cafe each week, so let’s make sure to turn out and show them our support!)

Classroom Ambassadors help build community among families and support our teachers and staff in the classroom. Ambassadors communicate class-specific information via ClassDojo. If you haven’t signed up already, please do so here.

The McMeen Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) exists for the purpose of supporting the education and well-being of children at McMeen by fostering relationships among the students, families, staff, and community. This mission is accomplished through volunteer support, fundraising efforts, community-building events, and teacher and programmatic support. Membership is free and open to all McMeen families and staff.
