McMeen Elementary

Hi McMeen Families,

It’s been a wild lead up to spring at McMeen this year. Teachers and staff have been going above and beyond to make sure McMeen is a safe space for students to learn. We’ve heard from many parents asking about ways they can support staff. After discussing options with Principal Hinman and Vice Principal Bartsch, PTO has decided to sponsor "Teacher Tuesdays" to let staff know we see and appreciate them. Each week PTO will be providing snacks or other surprises in the staff workroom, but we need your help to make this happen! You can sign up to help pick-up food or donate to the staff appreciation fund so we can keep this going every week for the rest of the school year.

MARCH 2025

🗓 Family Engagement Night: CSC & PTO
When: Monday, March 17 @ 4:00-6:00 PM (CSC 4-5 PM | PTO 5-6 PM)
Details: This year, CSC, Dual Language, and PTO meetings will be held in-person as part of family engagement nights. Childcare and dinner provided. Spanish and Arabic translation available.

APRIL 2025

🌟 Multilingual Bingo Night
When: Thursday, April 3 @ 5:00-6:30 PM | Volunteer
Details: Come have fun and practice your numbers and letters in 3 languages—English, Spanish, and Arabic—at Family Bingo Night. Free pizza and prizes!

🎉 Día del Niño

When: Saturday, April 26 @ 12:00-2:00 PM | Volunteer

Details: Celebrate Día del Niño at this fun community event. Traditional games, music, activities & more!

The McMeen Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) exists for the purpose of supporting the education and well-being of children at McMeen by fostering relationships among the students, families, staff, and community. This mission is accomplished through volunteer support, fundraising efforts, community-building events, and teacher and programmatic support. Membership is free and open to all McMeen families and staff.
