Message from the Principal- Conduct
10/30/24, 8:01 AM
I hope this message finds you well. I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for your ongoing support and commitment to our school community. I need to address a serious matter regarding parent/guardian conduct during school arrival and pick-up times. In less than a week, we have experienced two very inappropriate incidents involving parents/guardians that necessitated a call to the Denver Public Schools Department of Safety and the Denver Police Department. At no time was there a threat to student safety. As educators and role models for all children attending McMeen, it is crucial that we conduct ourselves in a manner that reflects the values we wish to instill in our students. Please remember that failure to adhere to appropriate behavior may result in restrictions from the McMeen school campus, as outlined in Denver Public School Board policy KFA-R. Additionally, as stated in School Board policy KI, visiting a school is a privilege, not a right, which may be limited, denied, or revoked by a school administrator or designee based on considerations of student and/or staff safety and health, efficient school operations, maintenance of a proper educational environment, or failure to comply with this policy. Thank you for your attention to this important issue. Together, we can create a safe and respectful environment for everyone. Sincerely, |
