Upcoming Happenings Ongoing (Nov.1 - Dec. 1) Read-a-thon Open a book, open your world! Read-a-thon is also PTO’s largest fundraiser of the year. Make sure to track your at-home reading minutes. If you need language for requesting donations, check out our digital toolkits online (mcmeenpto.org/read) in English, Spanish, and Arabic. Thursday, Nov. 14 Family Engagement Night Want to stay informed about what's going on at McMeen? Join us at Family Engagement Night from 4-6 p.m.! The Collaborative School Committee will meet from 4-5 p.m. and the Parent Teacher Organization will meet from 5-6 p.m. Dinner and childcare will be provided, and Spanish and Arabic translation will be available.
Family Lunch at McMeen
Join your student at our annual Family Lunch, happening during your child's lunch period! If you would like to eat school lunch with your child, adult tickets are $7 and children tickets (for non-students) are $6. You can purchase tickets at the main office.
Friday, Nov. 15
McMeen Family Movie Night | Volunteer | Vote for the Movie
Join us from 5-7 p.m. in the McMeen auditorium to watch Wall-E! Popcorn, chips, cookies and lemonade will be available for $1 each. If your student brings a drawing of an invention or robot, they will earn a free snack! See te attached flyer for more details.

Keep on Reading!
We're so impressed by all the reading our Mustangs have been doing so far for our Read-a-thon! Not only is our read-a-thon a great opportunity to read as much as possible, it's also an opportunity to raise money for our amazing school.
Raising money through read-a-thon is simple! All you need to do is track the minutes your child reads and the donations your friends and family pledge. Reading and donation tracker sheets went home with students in Thursday folders. You can find digital copies of the trackers here.

Today is the LAST DAY to help McMeen win $10,000 for stocking our classrooms! All we need from you is a few minutes of your time to fill out the DPS Your Voice/Tu Voz survey.

Join our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) The McMeen Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) supports the education of children at McMeen and fosters relationships among McMeen's students, families, staff, and community. This mission is accomplished through volunteer support, fundraising efforts, community-building events, and teacher and programmatic support. Membership is free and open to all McMeen families and staff.
