McMeen Elementary

On behalf of the McMeen PTO, we want to let you know how excited we are for the 2024-2025 school year! If you are new to McMeen this year, welcome! And if you’re returning, welcome back!

As you may know, McMeen Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the students and staff at McMeen. We work to foster a strong and inclusive community by engaging families in their student’s educational experience through volunteer support, fundraising efforts, community-building events, and teacher and programmatic grants. You will notice a few changes this year based on feedback we received. PTO communications will be streamlined into a monthly newsletter, instead of weekly. Volunteer signups will be consolidated on our website (mcmeenpto.org). And meetings will be in-person as part of family engagement nights where childcare will be provided. We hope this will allow more families to participate. Membership is free and open to all McMeen families and staff, so we welcome you to join us.

🗓 Family Engagement Night: CSC & PTO Meeting
When: Thursday, September 12 @ 4:00-6:00 PM (CSC 4-5 PM | PTO 5-6 PM)
Details: This year, PTO meetings will be held in-person as part of family engagement nights. Childcare and dinner provided. Spanish and Arabic translation available.

🧹 Fall School Clean Up Day
When: Saturday, September 14 @ 9:00-10:30 AM
Details: Let's keep McMeen looking pristine! Drop by anytime to help clean up the playground and our school. Coffee and donuts provided.

🎥 McMeen Family Movie Night
When: Wednesday, September 25 @ 5:00-7:00 PM (Flyer)
Details: Help us choose this month’s film – vote here! In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, September’s film will be shown in Spanish with English subtitles. The event is free! Popcorn and refreshments for sale. All students must be accompanied by an adult.
