Happy Thursday McMeen Families!

It's hard to believe it's already April and there are less than 8 weeks left of school! There is a lot going on at McMeen this spring and plenty of opportunities to come together as a community and get involved. In particular, Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up May 5-9. See below for ways PTO is making sure McMeen teachers and staff feel some extra love.

🗓 Family Engagement Night: CSC & Dual Language
When: Tuesday, April 22 @ 4:00-6:00 PM (CSC 4-5 PM | DL 5-6 PM)
Details: Join for updates from CSC and the Dual Language program during family engagement night. Childcare and dinner provided. Spanish and Arabic translation available.

🎉 Día del Niño
When: Saturday, April 26 @ 12:00-2:00 PM | Learn more & Volunteer
Details: Celebrate Día del Niño at this fun community event. Traditional games, music, activities & more! Interested in volunteering at the event, sign up here.

⚾ McMeen Day at the Colorado Rockies
When: Sunday, April 27 @ 1:10 PM | More Info & Purchase Tickets
Details: Join McMeen for a day at the ballpark and cheer on the Rockies as they take on the Cincinnati Reds. Purchase discounted tickets by April 21st. You can also donate a ticket to a McMeen student.

🥤 Kona Ice Truck
When: Thursday, May 1 @ 2:30-3:30 PM
Details: The Kona Ice truck will be at McMeen on May 1 and 20% of sales will be donated back to McMeen PTO. Don't forget to bring your refillable cups.

The McMeen Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) exists for the purpose of supporting the education and well-being of children at McMeen by fostering relationships among the students, families, staff, and community. This mission is accomplished through volunteer support, fundraising efforts, community-building events, and teacher and programmatic support. Membership is free and open to all McMeen families and staff.
