Outdoor Warning Sirens Will Be Tested Today

05/14/25, 9:47 AM

Dear McMeen Community,

At 11 a.m. today, May 14, the Denver Office of Emergency Management will test their outdoor warning sirens, including at Denver International Airport. This is just a routine test to make sure everything is ready for severe weather.

This year, the sirens will go off automatically when there are weather warnings, so you might hear them more often.

Key points to remember:

  • Today's siren is just a test, so don’t worry – no action is needed.

  • The sirens are meant to alert people outside to find shelter in case of emergency (such as bad weather).

Please let us know if you have questions.

Warmly,

Team McMeen
