Upcoming Happenings Saturday, September 14 School Clean-Up Day Join us at McMeen from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to help clean up our campus! September 16-20 Denver Health Dental Sealant Week The Denver Health Dental Sealant program will be at McMeen next week to provide screenings, fluoride, and sealants at no cost to families. Sealants and fluoride are a pain-free and quick way to prevent cavities. Click here to sign your student up! Magnet Eligibility Cognitive Testing

Class Dojo
We've heard that Class Dojo has been asking parents to pay for a subscription. You will never need to pay for Class Dojo; the McMeen team uses the free version. You will not miss any McMeen information by using the free version.
BESS Parent Survey
Please fill out this BESS survey about your child's social emotional and mental health strengths and needs by Oct. 18. It takes less than 5 minutes to complete! You will need to input your student's ID number, which can be found in the parent portal. If you have questions, please email Julie Magnuson at julie_magnuson@dpsk12.org.
American Furniture Warehouse Rally for McMeen
Looking to buy some furniture? Be sure to shop at American Furniture Warehouse! If you mention McMeen at checkout, 2% of your purchase will go towards our school. The donation applies even when you shop online - just input our school code: MCMN71.

Capturing Kids' Hearts
We're working with Capturing Kids' Hearts (CKH) to empower McMeen students to grow into leaders. As a part of this work, every month we focus on a specific value here at McMeen. During September, we will be focusing on empathy.

Join our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) The McMeen Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) supports the education of children at McMeen and fosters relationships among McMeen's students, families, staff, and community. This mission is accomplished through volunteer support, fundraising efforts, community-building events, and teacher and programmatic support. Membership is free and open to all McMeen families and staff.

Volunteer Opportunities Do you speak Spanish? Our children need you! We have immediate openings for volunteers to support our classroom teachers. 2-8 hours a day. 1-5 days per week.
