Upcoming Happenings Monday Oct. 28 and Tuesday, Oct. 29 Eye Love Care Student Eye Exams Eye exams and glasses will be available for McMeen students at no cost, regardless of insurance or immigration status. You must fill out a consent form for your child to receive their exam (and glasses if applicable). Consent forms went home in yesterday's Thursday folder; please email Nurse Miriam at miriam_cavender@dpsk12.net if you need another copy. Please return your consent form no later than Thursday, Oct. 24. Thursday, Oct. 31 Vocabulary Parade Join us at 2:20 p.m. for a school-wide Parade of Words on the blacktop! Make sure your child comes to school in a costume with a vocabulary word attached somewhere to their clothing. Their vocabulary word should describe their costume. For example, if your child comes to school dressed as a princess, their vocabulary word could be "elegant," "royal" or "dignified." Please make sure your child's costume does not include face masks, toy weapons, shields, wands or any other handheld items. Consider Ballot Issue 4A for Funding McMeen Improvements
This November, the Denver Public Schools Board of Education will seek voter approval of a bond package to increase funding for our DPS schools.

Join our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) The McMeen Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) supports the education of children at McMeen and fosters relationships among McMeen's students, families, staff, and community. This mission is accomplished through volunteer support, fundraising efforts, community-building events, and teacher and programmatic support. Membership is free and open to all McMeen families and staff.
