Capturing Kids' Hearts: Self-Direct
As we shared last week, during October we're challenging students to practice self-direction by taking intentional steps towards who they want to be. The attached flyers give tips on how to work on self-direction with your child at home.
One idea to consider: practice positive affirmations with your child! You can do this at family dinner; share the good things you see in one another. You can even take it to the next level and think of someone you can affirm outside your family. Challenge each family member to affirm or thank a different person every day this month for something they do or who they are.
Winter Enrichments
DPS will be offering before and after school programming at McMeen this winter (Dec. 2, 2024 through Feb. 21, 2025). Registration is OPEN NOW and closes at 10 p.m. on Oct. 29. For more information on how to register your child, please see this link.
