McMeen Quarter 1 Report

Dear McMeen Families,   We are about a quarter of the way through the school year and it has been a great year so far! We've encouraged attendance with our DoNot Miss School campaign, supplied McMeen families with food and clothing every Thursday, coordinated a professional photoshoot of our students, distributed bikes to all our second graders through Wish for Wheels, and more!   The attached report includes details about our students' academic progress and attendance. Please take a moment to read through it.   We want to draw attention to McMeen literacy rates. Currently, 34% of students learning in English are performing at or above grade level and 29% of students learning in Spanish are at or above grade level. We hope to increase these numbers in the next quarter, and you can help! Read with your child at home; even a few minutes a day can help increase their reading comprehension.   We also want to highlight our attendance numbers. Currently, our attendance rate is 89%. That is good, but it can be better! Please do your best to get your child to school on time every day.
