Working Together

09/21/23, 8:28 AM

One of the things that makes the McMeen community so special is our passion for supporting our students. We are all part of this community because we care deeply about the kids within it. As part of this, we want to send some reminders about how we can best work together to achieve our common goals for kids.

Parent Compact and Parent/Student Handbook
We have written a Parent Compact and Parent/Student Handbook that outlines all expectations of our community. Please take some time to review each of these documents. We will be discussing them at our next Collaborative School Committee (CSC) meeting on Monday, October 2nd at 4pm via Zoom.
Questions or Concerns
We ask that if you have any questions or concerns that you first approach your child's teacher prior to coming to Administration. Doing so will help to build our partnerships and collaboration.

Parent Conduct
Over the past few weeks we have seen an increase in incidents where parents have been upset with staff members and have resorted to yelling or speaking down to them. We ask that we treat all members of our community with respect. This is something we work hard to instill in students and would like to see adults modeling across our community. We always welcome open dialogue and feedback, but ask that it is conducted respectfully.
