Happy Thursday Teller Families!

Can you believe we are already a month into the 23/24 school year?!?! There have been so many amazing things happening at Teller, and there is more to come as we head into Fall! Please read this email in full to familiarize yourself with important and upcoming dates.

If you have any questions, please reach out!

1) CMAS Results:

All current 4th/5th grade students will be bringing home their CMAS results from the 22/23 school year in their Thursday folders. You will have a separate document that indicates how to read and understand the test results.

If your 4th/5th grade student transferred to Teller this year, you will receive a letter with some information. However, you will need to connect with their previous school to obtain their detailed score results.

2) Media Release on Infinite Campus:

Friendly reminder to all, students whose accounts on Infinite Campus reflect that they are a “yes” for media release allow for Teller to share photos of them on our school website, Instagram, and Facebook.

DEN NIGHTS are back! Keep an eye out for your chance to reserve your child’s spot to stay the night at Teller.  The first Den Night will be a October 7th to coincide with Totally Teller but there will be a handful offered throughout the year.  This overnight babysitting makes Totally Teller that much more fun for adults and kids alike. For $75 per child, you get to drop your Teller Tiger(s) off at 4:30pm (special drop off time for committee members) on Saturday night and pick them up between 7am and 8am on Sunday morning. And finally thanks to everyone whose volunteered to be a room parent! 12) Fall CogAT Sign Up:

Fall CogAT Testing Sign Up If you are interested in having your child (1st, 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade only) take the CogAT assessment this spring, please complete the nomination form. Applications can be found at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScunmyJy06R1QW-BL3tv8DpV566k_YgwuXUa6g8spX0JrYj7g/viewform. Applications for testing are due Friday, October 13th. Students can only take one cognitive assessment per calendar year, so if your child was already given the NNAT or the CogAT in the fall, they cannot be assessed again this fall. During the fall semester, DPS students enrolled in Kindergarten, 2nd, and 6th grades are tested with the NNAT or NGAT as part of the universal screening process; those families do not need to submit this form unless their child was not assessed during the fall screening. If you have any questions, please contact marian_dorsey@dpsk12.org
