1. Farmer’s Market TODAY!
We’re excited to host another amazing Teller farmer's market! Join Mrs. Dilsworth's 5th grade class on the south side of the field starting at 2:40 PM.
Don’t forget to bring cash and your own grocery bag if you plan to stop by. Thank you for your continued support! We can’t wait to see you at the market!
2. Pep Rally on Monday!
Teller’s second pep rally is on Monday, September 30th! We encourage all Teller students to dress up in Teller’s colors, blue and yellow, to show their Teller PRIDE!
3. Monthly Specials (Art, Music, and PE) Newsletter:
Here is the first Specials Newsletter of the 2024-2025 school year. Each month, the specials team will share a short update on what students have been learning and doing in their classes, along with other events related to Physical Education, Music, and Art!
4. October Count:
The official October Count date for the 24/25 school year is October 1st. It is imperative that we have all students in attendance on this date. October Count is important because it helps the state distribute funding to districts. It also assists the district with demographics, eligibility, and data validation.

5. Congress Park Market- Teller Give Back!
On Thursday, October 3rd, Congress Park Market will support Teller Elementary by donating 10% of all sales made throughout the day back to the school. Located at 2620 E 12th Ave, Congress Park Market invites the community to participate in this fundraising event, encouraging shoppers to enjoy their favorite products while contributing to the school. 6. No School on 10/10, 10/11, or 10/14:
All Denver Public Schools will be closed on October 10th, 11th, and 14th. October 10th is designated as a teacher planning day, and some families may have parent-teacher conferences on that date. October 11th and 14th are non-contact days for both students and teachers.
7. Fall Festival:
Teller’s annual Fall Festival will be on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25TH! We will have an assortment of fun activities like a pumpkin patch, costume contest, apple cider, and more!

- Candy donations needed! Please drop off any candy to the main office between now and 10/25!
- We are excited to bring back Trunk or Treat for another year! We are looking for families to come and participate in trunk or treat! If you are interested, please complete this Google Form!

8. DPS Food Services and Snacks at Teller:
DPS Food services is requiring schools to sell “Smart snacks” during lunch. Teller’s cafeteria will be selling “smart snacks” on Fridays only. The smart snack available for purchase will be Cheese sticks- $0.75, Whole Grain, Cheese Its- $0.50, and Pirate's Booty - $1.00. This will start Friday, October 4th.
Please note the following:

- Parents/Guardians can make restrictions to a student account by identifying the amount of money their child is allowed to spend on Fridays
- Snack items can only be purchased after a student receives their reimbursable meal
- Students must have bash in hand or money in their accounts
- Accounts cannot go into a negative balance to purchase snack items

10. Tasty Foods - FREE After School Meals for Youth:
Fuel your academic success with Tasty Food! The Office of Children's Affairs warmly welcomes all youth aged 3-18 to receive a nutritious after-school meal and/or snack at various Tasty Food sites across the city of Denver. No ID or registration required - just come on over and enjoy.

11. ABC Eye Care: Discounted Exam and Glasses
Parents can apply for the Gift of Sight program to help students with an eye exam and glasses at no cost. They are using this program to help students without insurance and can't afford glasses while the Pupil Assistance Fund is on hold.
12. MLE Parent Academy
Denver Public Schools is kicking off the year with an MLE Parent Academy. Parents will learn about our programs, their rights as parents of multilingual learners and more. They will also have performances celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. Dinner, childcare and interpretation services will be available. View additional details in preferred language here. 13. Care Solace Now Offering Social Services Support
In response to supporting the needs of the whole community, Denver Public Schools is providing an additional layer of support by adding social services through Care Solace. In addition to mental health care and substance use treatment coordination services, Care Solace can connect DPS families and staff to food assistance, shelter support and community health services. 14. National Custodian Day!
National Custodian Day is coming up soon on Wednesday, October 2nd. Nick, Manny, and Nick have been fantastic to Teller, and we’d love to show them our appreciation! If you would like to get a gift or show your love to our facilities team, please see their “favorites” below!

What is Totally Teller?

- Totally Teller is our annual adults-only auction fundraiser for Teller Elementary where we raise over 50% of the money the PTA donates to the school each year.
- We get together for conversation, food, great music and dancing, and a fantastic silent & live auction.
