Dear Teller Families,

It has come to my attention that several Teller families received an auto-generated email from Denver Public Schools regarding Summer Academy. The email contained language about individual students performing below or significantly below grade level in reading and/or math and should attend Summer Academy.

This email was sent out by the district in error.

On behalf of the district, I apologize for any confusion or concern it has caused. Summer Academy is designed for students who could benefit from additional intervention, providing targeted support to strengthen foundational skills and ensure students leave summer better prepared for the next school year.

DPS is currently refining its criteria for Summer Academy eligibility and will be sending another email to families with additional information around clear criteria and details on how to register soon.
