Construction Near Teller: Starting Today!

09/03/24, 5:31 AM

Attention Teller Elementary Families:

We wanted to inform you about some upcoming construction work that will take place near Teller Elementary. The City of Denver is scheduled to replace the ramps at the intersections of 12th Ave & Jackson St and 12th Ave & Harrison St.

This work is part of ongoing efforts to improve accessibility and will involve:

  • Replacement of the NW ramp at 12th Ave & Jackson St.
  • Replacement of all 4 ramps at 12th Ave & Harrison St.

Key Details:

  • Start Date: Tuesday, September 3rd (TODAY)
  • Estimated Completion: End of the week (Friday, September 6th)

During this time, there will be some changes to the area:

  • Traffic Flow: The work zone will generally allow for 2-way traffic. Flaggers will be present to help direct traffic (if needed).
  • Parking Impact: The construction will affect parking lanes but will not impact the driving lanes on 12th Ave or Jackson St. A small ditch will be excavated during the ramp demolition and will be filled with asphalt the following day. If needed, temporary driving access will be arranged.

The city anticipates that this work will not interfere with daily school operations. However, we wanted to ensure that you are aware of the construction and can plan for a safe commute to Teller.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to Bryce Miller from the City of Denver at Bryce.Miller1@denvergov.org.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
