1. Lost and Found Pickup Date
As a reminder, the final day to claim lost and found items is TOMORROW, December 13th! All items will be cleared out and donated on Monday, December 16th. Please stop by at drop off or pickup to check if your student has lost any of their clothing items.
2. No School - Winter Break!
As a reminder, there will be no school from Monday, December 23rd through Monday, January 6th. Teller will be closed during this time and all staff will be on break. We look forward to seeing everyone return to school on Tuesday, January 7th!
3. DU Basketball Ticket Giveaway for Students
On Monday, December 16th we will be having our Teller Pep Rally! We are giving away free DU Basketball Tickets as a raffle. All students will be entered into this raffle. If you DO NOT want your child to be added, please email cheryl_ruiz@dpsk12.net.
4. Teller Spirit Week!
The first Spirit Week of the 2024-2025 school year is NEXT WEEK! We encourage all students to get involved! Please see the attached flyer for more details and the dress up day themes below!

5. ECE, KG, and 5th Grade Continuations:
Teller’s continuation dates and times for the 2024-2025 school year are set and added to the community calendar. All continuation ceremonies will take place outside on the turf on Friday, May 30th. The grade-level times are:

- ECE: 8:15 am - 9:15 am
- Kindergarten: 9:30 am - 10:30 am
- 5th Grade: 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Each continuation will feature teacher-led introductions, class speakers, class songs, certificates, and more! Save the date and be on the lookout for more information in a future PRIDE post.
6. Thank You for Supporting Our Book Fair!
Our Scholastic Book Fair was a huge success! Thanks to our amazing community support, we can significantly expand our library collection and our classroom libraries!
This event was made possible with the help of our wonderful volunteers. A HUGE THANK YOU and a giant shout out to all of those who helped!

7. Teller Toy Drive ends MONDAY!
As a reminder, Monday, December 16th is the last day that Teller will be collecting gently used or like-new toys to brighten the holiday season for children in need.
Donations can be dropped off in the designated collection boxes located in the Main Office. All donations will be going to the Denver Santa Claus Shop located at 2500 East 1st Avenue, Denver, 80206.
Your kindness will help bring smiles to children in our community, and we truly appreciate your support in making this holiday season a little brighter for those in need.
8. Winter Clothing Drive led by the Teller Compassion Project:
The Teller Compassion Project Student Leadership Team is sponsoring a winter clothing drive for new to the country families at Teller. We’ve surveyed the families to determine their needs. Please consider donating your new or gently used items so that everyone can stay warm this winter. You can sign up for specific needed items here.
Items can be dropped off from December 6 until December 18. There will be a box next to Ms. Nicole’s desk by the entrance.

BRAVE: Supporting Students with Learning Differences

The Teller Compassion Project is excited to present our second initiative, BRAVE: Supporting Students with Learning Differences. This project was proposed by Teller 5th grade student, Timmy L, and aims to educate our community about neurodivergence and to support students with learning differences. Students will work to build awareness about learning differences and create community action plans to support exceptional learners that are part of our Teller Community.
Third through fifth grade students may apply to join the BRAVE: Supporting Students with Learning Differences Student Leadership Team by filling out this Google Form:
