Teller Elementary School

Welcome Back!

01/06/25, 2:07 PM

Dear Teller Families,

Happy New Year! We hope your winter break was filled with rest, joy, and special moments with loved ones. As we kick off this new semester, we’re thrilled to welcome your children back to school and continue working together to make this year successful. Thank you for being a vital part of our Teller community—we’re excited to see all the amazing things our students will achieve in 2025!

As a reminder, school resumes tomorrow, Tuesday, January 7th, at 7:40 a.m. for all students. Weather reports are predicting 2-5 inches of snow late tonight and into the early morning, which may affect the Tuesday morning commute. Please plan ahead for potential delays.

Here’s what to expect in case of a weather delay or closure:

  • 2-Hour Delay: If Denver Public Schools (DPS) announces a 2-hour delay, Teller will start at 9:40 a.m. Communication will be sent via text, email, and the Reachwell app. All transportation services, including buses, will also operate on a 2-hour delay.

  • Snow Day: If DPS declares a snow day, families will be notified through text, email, and the Reachwell app. Updates will also be available on dpsk12.org and the district’s social media platforms (Facebook, X, and Instagram).

For additional program updates:

  • Discovery Link: The Department of Extended Learning and Community Schools will notify families directly about any changes to program operations.
  • Afterschool Enrichment Programs: Cheryl Ruiz will communicate directly with families regarding cancellations, rescheduling, or refunds for afterschool programs.

Thank you for your continued partnership, and we look forward to seeing everyone back at school tomorrow!

Best,

Sabrina Bates, Principal
