1. TOTALLY TELLER: 

Get your ticket to Totally Teller before prices go up on Friday, November 1st at http://onecau.se/teller

Our journey starts at 7pm on Saturday, November 9th at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. This cosmic journey is filled with delicious food, fantastic silent and live auctions, great music, and getting to know other members of the Teller Crew. Tickets are $75 per person before November 1st.

We've also got overnight childcare covered with the Teller Den Night. Register your Teller Tigers for a night of fun here

Our generosity at Totally Teller can launch all our kids to a new level of success and learning. Thank you for your support!

2. Field Trip Payments Due - TODAY!

If you have not yet paid your child’s field trip fee for the 2024-2025 school year. you must do so by today!  All field trip fees can be paid via MySchoolBucks

3. Thanksgiving Lunch Tickets Sale Ends  TOMORROW! 

Save the date for Teller’s Annual Thanksgiving Lunch on Thursday, November 21st! The deadline to purchase tickets is quickly approaching! Tickets must be purchased on MySchoolBucks by Friday, November 1st.

4. Assessment Binders Update

Due to recent interim testing, most teachers will not be sending home assessment binders this month. Instead, assessment binders will be sent home before Thanksgiving Break, including interim data for students in grades 3-5. If you have any concerns about your child’s performance, please feel free to contact their teacher directly.

5. Monthly Specials (Art, Music, and PE) Newsletter:

Here is the October Specials Newsletter! Each month, the specials team will share a short update on what students have been learning and doing in their classes, along with other events related to Physical Education, Music, and Art!

6. School Psychologist Week 11/4 - 11/8

National School Psychologist Week is the week of November 4th! Let’s celebrate our Teller superstar Ms. Aileen and show her some love! It would be awesome if you wrote her a card or sent her an email (aileen_cerezo@dpsk12.net) to brighten her week! 7. Winter Enrichment Registration Closes 11/5

Here is the link to Teller’s Winter brochure! Registration will close at 10pm on Tuesday, November 5th, make sure to register before the deadline as we will not accept any late registrations. 

If you qualify for CCAP, HEN, or FRL then you are eligible for a scholarship, please complete this form to be considered for one. If your desired class has filled up, please fill out this form to be on the waitlist. Please reach out to cheryl_ruiz@dpsk12.net if you have any questions. 

8. Volunteer for the Book Fair!

Get ready for the Annual Teller Scholastic Book Fair, happening from November 18 to November 22! This event is a blast and a huge success thanks to amazing volunteers like you. We can’t do it without your support!

9. Updates from the Teller Health Office

 

Oral Health Programs:  Denver Public Schools offers an Oral Health Program designed to promote the dental health of our students. Attached is a flyer that provides detailed information about the availability of free dental care services. This initiative aims to ensure that every child has access to the dental care they need for a healthy smile. Please take a moment to review the flyer for more information on how to participate and take advantage of these valuable resources.

Vision and Dental: Please see the attached flyer. There are resources for free vision and dental exams for children who are uninsured. Adventure Vision and Academy Kids Vision are proud to be hosting Von's Vision Locker Days. Please see the flyer for details and sign up information.

We are all full for Teller’s Health Clinic next Friday! We appreciate you joining in getting vaccinated,  to stop the spread. 

Capitol Heights Pharmacy: Capitol Heights Pharmacy right down the street from Teller and they provide vaccines on a walk in basis for COVID, FLU, and RSV.  

10. Picture Retakes- 11/14

Did your student miss picture day or do they want to take a new picture? Picture retake day with the Dorian team will be on Thursday, November 14th! The Dorian team will be in the library from 8:30am-11:30am to take photos.

Picture orders may be placed online here. Please note, online orders are available up to 4 days after retake day. If you already ordered and want a new picture taken please be sure to return your original picture packet to the photographer on retake day.
