1. Drop-Off Procedures and Safety Reminder:
To ensure the safety of all students, please remember the following from our Family Handbook in the Drop Off Procedure section:
Do not encourage, ask, or demand that your student run across traffic to get to school. It is important for everyone in the Teller community to use the designated crosswalks. This helps maintain a safe environment for all and promotes good habits for our students. Thank you for your cooperation.
2. Farmer’s Market:
We wanted to inform you about some changes to our upcoming farmer’s market dates. Here is the updated schedule:
-
- Mr. Kraft's 5th Grade Class: Thursday, September 19th
- Ms. Dilsworth's 5th Grade Class: Thursday, September 26th
- Mr. Gray's 5th Grade Class: Thursday, October 3rd
Please note that the farmer’s market originally scheduled for September 12th has been canceled. The markets will be located on the south end of the turf and will start once the dismissal bell rings. If you plan to attend, please try your best to bring cash.
We appreciate your support and understanding and look forward to seeing you at the upcoming events!
3. Lost and Found:
Lost and found items are located on the first floor outside the gym. We are starting to see an increased amount of items. Please remember, all lost and found items that are left unclaimed will be donated to local charities at the end of each month.
We encourage all families to label their student’s belongings to avoid them getting lost.

8. A Message from the Teller Health Office Update:
Head Lice Prevention Tips:
-
- Regular Checks: Inspect your children's hair regularly for signs of lice.
- Report Cases: If you're comfortable, inform the school nurse (reba_rembold@dpsk12.net) if you find lice, so they can monitor and manage the situation in classrooms.
- Immediate Treatment: Address any lice problems with treatment as soon as you detect them.
You can review this informative document as well!
Staying proactive and communicative helps everyone manage and prevent the spread of head lice effectively and the more we each know the better we can work together to stop the spread of head lice in our community.
9. Balarat Merch:
The Balarat Merch Store will be open for just FOUR more weeks! Families, staff, and stakeholders have until October 6th to place their orders. Don't miss out on this opportunity to grab your favorite Balarat merchandise!
