6) CMAS Testing

Starting in late March, all of our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will be taking the Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) assessments. CMAS is the state-required test for language arts, math, and science, and it is aligned with the state’s academic standards. The test helps us understand how well students are mastering these standards and their readiness for the next grade level. The testing window is March 31st through April 25th, so please ensure that your child is present during this important time.

While participation in CMAS is important, we also want to remind you that families have the right to opt out of testing if they choose. We understand that each family has different perspectives, needs, and beliefs, and we fully support your right to make the best decision for your child. If you choose to opt out, please complete the attached form and submit it to the Main Office as soon as possible.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at cheryl_ruiz@dpsk12.net  or john-mark_aydelotte@dpsk12.net
