1) Winter Enrichments
Registration for the Winter session will open on Tuesday, October 22nd at 6am and it will close at 10pm on Tuesday, November 5th. We have a diverse set of offerings! The actual Winter session will run from December 2nd, 2024 through February 21, 2025.
Here is the link to Teller’s Winter brochure! If you qualify for CCAP, HEN, or FRL then you are eligible for a scholarship, please complete this form to be considered for one. If your desired class has filled up, please fill out this form to be on the waitlist.
As a reminder, all students who are in one or more of Ms. Bartos’s music classes will complete their second round of the yearly tuition during this registration period. Please be on the lookout for an email!

2) Thanksgiving tickets on sale- 10/18
Save the date for Teller’s Annual Thanksgiving Lunch on Thursday, November 21st! This year’s Thanksgiving Lunch ticket prices are $7 adults and $6 non Teller students. Tickets can be purchased via MySchoolBucks on Friday, October 18th at 10am through Friday, November 1st. Tickets must be purchased in advance in order to attend this event.
Please see below the dates and times for each grade level’s lunch and recess time.

3) Hearing and Vision: 10/22, 10/23, 10/24
As a reminder, Teller’s vision and hearing screening will take place on October 22nd, October 23rd, and October 24th in the Teller library.
Denver Public Schools performs Hearing and Vision Screenings annually.

- If you have a 4th grader, they will not be screened this year. This is the DPS standard for screening every year.
- Families can opt out of hearing and vision screening by filling out the attached form. Please return your completed form to Teller's Nursing office.
- Screening dates at Teller are scheduled for October 22nd Tuesday, 23rd Wednesday, and 24th Thursday.
- Please make sure your student brings vision and auditory aids for the screening. For example: if the student does not have their glasses we cannot perform the vision screening.
4) Upcoming Dine Out Nights
Thank you all for your continued support by showing up at our DINE Out Nights! Here are a few more on the horizon!
Tokyo Joe's at the Cherry Creek Mall

- Make sure to mention Teller Elementary when ordering or show the flyer. Use code SCHOOLFUND in all caps when ordering online. They will donate 25% back to Teller!

5) Halloween parties- 10/31
Teller Halloween parties will be held on Thursday, October 31st (NOT ON 10/25). Classroom teachers will communicate the time and details of the classroom Halloween parties.
Students may wear costumes this day, please ensure the following rules are adhered to:

- No fake weapons of any kind (this includes items such as knives, swords, guns, lasers, lightsabers, etc.)
- Costumes should be free of blood, gore, or anything excessively scary.
- Halloween masks are only permitted to be worn during classroom parties.
- Shoes must follow regular dress code guidelines.
- If a costume is deemed inappropriate, parents/guardians will be contacted to provide a change of clothes.
6) DEN Night and Totally Teller
Your little Tiger can get into the Totally Teller fun too!
The first Den Night of the school year will take place on Saturday, November 9th; taking the guesswork out of child care while you blast off to the Museum of Nature and Science for some fun!
Led by Ms. Treisi, Teller staff will be on site to support your student at a 15:1 ratio, with kids divided into small groups based on their grade level. Students will enjoy age appropriate activities including arts & crafts, games, scavenger hunt, and movies!
Drop off your child in their PJs at 5pm on Saturday, November 9th and the DEN Night team will take care of dinner, entertainment, bedtime, and even a morning snack before pick up! Pickup will be on Sunday, November 10th will be between 7am and 8am.
DEN Night Tickets are $75 and can be purchased through the PTA website here.
