PRIDE Post: March 6th, 2025

Dear Teller Families,
We wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for your incredible generosity. This year, our Fun Run raised an astounding $113,000, with donations coming from 49 out of 50 states and nine countries! Watching our students run, laugh, and celebrate while being cheered on by our community is one of my favorite parts of being principal.
With Colorado ranking between 39th and 47th in per-pupil funding, so much of what makes Teller special is only possible because of YOU. Your support directly funds essential programs and positions that our students benefit from every single day—our specials teachers (Art, Music, and PE), a full-time school psychologist, a full-time gifted and talented teacher, a full-time school nurse, grade-level paraprofessionals, a librarian, and more.
We know that some families have a love-hate relationship with the Fun Run, and at the same time, we also know that without fundraisers like the Fun Run, we simply wouldn’t be the school we are today. The impact of this fundraiser is real and lasting, and we are deeply grateful for the way this community comes together each year to support our students.
Although we didn’t quite reach our goal of $130,000, we still believe that getting pied in the face—while wearing sumo inflatables—at our next pep rally on Monday, March 17th is the best way to celebrate our students’ hard work! We can’t wait to share this fun moment with them and show our appreciation for their enthusiasm.
On behalf of the entire Teller staff, thank you again for your generosity, your commitment to Teller, and for making our school such a wonderful place for kids to learn and grow.
With gratitude,
Sabrina Bates, Principal
Jason Smartt, Assistant Principal
