Tips for Kiss-n-Go Success
09/04/24, 9:43 AM
Hi Teller Families! For those of you who use our Kiss-n-Go lane each morning, please see these helpful tips below. If you've been using Kiss-n-Go for years you probably already know these, but we have a fair number of new families this year who may not.
- Kiss-n-Go is open from 7:20 to 7:40. If you arrive after 7:40 and the gate is closed, Kiss-n-Go is also closed - please take your student around to the main entrance on Garfield to gain entrance and get a tardy slip from Miss Nicole.
- Please have your students exit only on the curb (right) side of the car. Getting out on the street side is dangerous and we have had a couple of students get way too close to passing cars on that side. If you can't exit from the right, Kiss-n-Go probably isn't the best solution for your family.
- Pull up to the farthest person available - that way we can get another car in behind you.
- Don't allow your students to open the doors - we will do that once the vehicle has stopped.
- If the line is moving slowly, please have your students take seat-belts off and get their backpacks on - that way they will be ready to go once you get to the front of the line.
- After dropping your students off, please do not turn left or right at 11th Avenue. We have students crossing those streets, and waiting to turn really backs up the line. Please go straight and make your turn at 10th.
- PLEASE don't stop and watch your student walk in to school - cars are likely piling up behind you - we promise they will make it to class!
