1) Last Day of School- June 3rd, 2025!
The last day of school is Tuesday, June 3rd. Please note that it is a half day, and pickup will be at 11:10 AM. Make sure to plan accordingly as there will be no after-school care that day, this included Discovery Link and after school enrichments.
2) Please Donate Books for…Teller Elementary’s Book Swap!
We are excited to announce Teller’s Book Swap! Those long days of summer bring time for students to enjoy reading. What is better than “new to you” books to encourage students to read? We will welcome donations of gently loved books that we will organize and display in the library. Every student will be able to choose books to take home and enjoy!

- Students can donate books in their classrooms or in the library. You can also donate books in the bins at the school entrances.

3) CSC Meeting - Tuesday May 13, 5-6:10 pm
The Collaborative School Committee (CSC) will hold their regular meeting on Tuesday May 13 from 5:00-6:10 pm in Room 214. On the meeting agenda are enrollment updates, a review of the school discipline policy, a discussion of possible student non-contact days next year for teacher professional learning, and UIP (Unified Improvement Plan) goal development.
All members of the Teller Community are invited to join us. Childcare and pizza will be provided for Teller students during the meeting - please sign up in advance. A time for Public Comment/Feedback will be held at the end of the meeting. People wishing to speak will be asked to sign up during the meeting and comment will be limited to topics within the scope of work for CSC. As time will be limited during the meeting, members of the Teller Community are encouraged to reach out to CSC Members prior to the meeting with feedback.
The CSC is a group of parents, teachers, and community members who provide feedback and recommendations to the school administration on budget priorities, UIP, program design changes, community feedback as it relates to CSC work, principal feedback as it relates to CSC work, and discipline and safety policies as it relates to the UIP and strategic plan.
4) Ridwell Update
Great news — 8 new Ridwell members have signed up through Teller’s page! We’re just 2 sign-ups away from earning free plastic film pickups for our school next year!

Teller's Field Day is coming up on Wednesday, May 14th, and families are invited to come cheer on the fun! Students will rotate through nine exciting stations during two sessions:

8) All Library Materials Due by May 16th
Parents and guardians, we kindly ask that all library books and materials be returned to the school library by Friday, May 16th. Please check with your child to ensure any borrowed items are brought back. Your help in making sure everything is returned promptly is greatly appreciated.
We will be sending reminders to families if their student has not returned their items by the deadline. There will be a fee for any books that are not returned.
9) Teller Arts Fest on Sunday, May 18th
Join us at the Teller Arts Fest on Sunday, May 18, from 1-4 PM at Teller Elementary for an exciting outdoor celebration! Enjoy student performances, vibrant artwork, food trucks, outdoor art activities, and complimentary drinks and snacks!
Music and performances will be happening outdoors under the gazebo and inside the auditorium, while student art and writing will be showcased in the hallways. Don’t forget to bring yard games and picnic blankets to fully enjoy the day. Admission is free and open to all neighbors!

10) 5th Grade Lion King Musicals
Mark your calendars! The Lion King Kids is making its way to Teller, and we invite you to join us for a spectacular show on May 20, 21, or 22. Our talented 5th graders will bring this beloved classic to life, with each night showcasing a different class. It's gonna be May, and it's time for us to start planning for Totally Teller 2025 — our biggest fundraiser of the year!
This is your chance to be part of the team that organizes and shapes the event that brings our community together while raising vital funds to support our school and provide essential resources for our children.
Over the summer, we need volunteers to help secure auction donations from local businesses, brainstorm ideas, and pitch in with all the behind-the-scenes work that makes the event a success.

13) A Message From the Teller Health Office
We want to remind you that all student medications must be picked up from the health office at the end of the school year. Medications can be picked up now.
Please note: Any medications not picked up by 12:00 PM on June 3rd, 2025, will be properly disposed of in accordance with district policy.
For students enrolled in summer programs: Medications and equipment must be picked up on the last day of school and brought by a parent/guardian to the summer program on the first day.

14) Dungeons & Dragons Summer Program with Mr. Zach
Hello Teller parents! Through his new company, The Questing Table LLC, Mr. Zach will be hosting a Dungeons & Dragons program for the summer here at Teller! All students are welcome—whether they're seasoned adventurers or brand new to the game. The program is designed for 4th and 5th graders, though exceptions can be made for siblings or friends to join, with consent from other participants and their families. There will be two different groups to choose from: one that meets on Tuesdays and one that meets on Thursdays.

15) Summer Adventure Day with Ms. Gras
Join Ms. Gras for a Summer Adventure! Enjoy a full day of hiking and a museum visit—fun, educational, and outdoorsy!
Available Dates:

- Lunch: Easy-to-eat, nutritious items (e.g., sandwich/wrap, fruit, veggies, cheese/yogurt)
- Water: Refillable bottle with 1–2 liters.
- Snack for the hike: Trail mix, granola bar, popcorn, or rice cakes.
- Other Essentials:
- Sunscreen
- Hat & sunglasses
- Comfortable hiking shoes
- Jacket or sweater (weather-dependent)
- Small backpack for your items
16) Friday Night Childcare with Ms. Gras!
We are excited to announce that Ms. Gras will be offering a Hiking/Adventure Camp this summer for several weeks! This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to explore the great outdoors, engage in fun activities, and make new friends.

- Flexible Sign-Up: You can sign up for individual days or for the entire week!
- Transportation: Ms. Gras will pick up your child in the morning and drop them off at the end of the day.
- Daily Activities: Each day, kids will enjoy hikes and visits to museums or parks. The first hike will take place the day after school lets out!
