Summer Connections: Registration Now Open!
03/14/23, 9:02 AM
Dear Teller Families,
We are excited to announce that Denver Public Schools will resume Summer Connections (redesigned Summer Academy) in-person this summer!
Summer Connections is a FREE, 5-week academic program that is open to all rising 1st through 5th grade students. This full-day program focuses on preparing all elementary students for future success. Students will engage with content they will see in the upcoming school year, which will include instruction in foundational literacy, math and science. Each class will be limited to 15 students. Our enrichment partners will guide students for 60 minutes each day through hands-on activities aligned with that day’s academic lessons.
Summer Connections operates June 12th through July 14th. All locations will operate from 8:20 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be available at all Summer Connections locations.
There are 10 program locations located throughout Denver. All program locations hosted on elementary school campuses have central air conditioning. Students are assigned to a Summer Connections host school based on its proximity to their boundary school, not their school of choice (if applicable).
