After School Clubs & Enrichment Classes - Sign-up Today

To enrich and support our core instructional offerings, we are so proud to roll out a number of after school enrichment and club options for all students to participate in--most start next week!

Dora Moore Run Clubs:

We have creatively found solutions that all clubs we offer are free to families at this time!

As interest will be high in many of our clubs, registration does not guarantee a spot as space is limited. All registrations will be confirmed with an email after the registration window closes and participation in over-enrolled classes will be decided by a lottery to ensure equity in opportunity.

If you would like your student to possibly participate in multiple enrichments, you will need to fill out a separate form for each class.

After School Club Opportunities Menu & Sign-up - 2023/2024

We have even more opportunities on the way as well. We are currently solidifying plans for adding more opportunities in January. When these new opportunities are available, we will add them to the Club Sign-up Menu above and send out an update to families to sign-up again!

Thank you for your interest and we are so excited to extend our school day with some really cool opportunities! Additionally, we love that most of these opportunities are multi-age giving students a new opportunity to meet new friends around a shared and common interest. Yahoo!

DPS Extended Learning Department Enrichment Classes:

Additionally, we also have some fee-based opportunities through the DPS Extended Learning Department in collaboration with Discovery Link. These enrichment opportunities are different from our clubs and there is a self-pay fee associated with participation. These enrichment classes for the winter are:
  • Creative Dance Kids: Hip-Hop**
  • Science Matters: Extreme Electricity/Mixology**

  • [You will see Chess Wizards as well, but we are offering our own chess club free to families so that is no longer an option]

To see details about these classes and to sign up, check out this document:  Dora Moore Enrichments Winter Session, December 4th, 2023 - February 23rd, 2024

Sign-up deadline for the DPS Extended Learning Department enrichment classes is Thursday, November 9th.

Principal 'Coffee' - Hot Chocolate & Community Conversation; Thursday @ 3:15pm

Join us to hear from the principal, Abe, about our progress so far this year, wins we have had, and some of the challenges we see coming in the future. Please bring your questions for the good of the group as well! Everyone is invited and your non-school age littles are welcome to join too!

Please ring in through the front door, get a visitor's sticker, and head to Room 214!

We will start on time and end on-time for normal dismissal at 4:00pm.

Hopefully, we will see a lot of you there!

Mental Health Supports and Suicide Prevention Efforts

Dora Moore is rolling out suicide prevention for students and families. Teaching and talking about mental health is important. Our school psychologist will be providing an information session on suicide prevention--Information about warning signs, how to talk to your child about suicide, and more will be covered!

Please use this form to select a day and time that would work best for you to participate. The day/time with the most availability will be selected and communicated back to the community. Any and all families and/or community members are welcome to attend.

Additionally, all 5th and 6th graders will be receiving mandatory suicide prevention lessons using the Erika's Lighthouse curriculum. This is a district expectation.
If you do NOT want your child participating, please notify Sarah Cherabie at Dora Moore (720-424-5320, sarah_cherabie@dpsk12.net) or return the below form to the main office.
