We are now in the groove of regular school days--rituals, routines, and procedures are solid and our core instruction is up and running. Happy end of week two!

1. Our first Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) meeting on the evening of September 11th
2. Annual Grill & Chill Community BBQ on Friday, September 13th

Important Dates
- September 11th, 9:15am - 12:15am: 2nd Grade Field Trip to Miner's Alley Play Theater
- September 11th, 5:30pm - 6:30pm: Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA)

The Grill & Chill Community BBQ is on Friday--(& we need your help!)
Our third annual Grill & Chill Community BBQ is on Friday, September 13th from 4:00pm - 6:00pm after school. Bring your friends and family--Yahoo! We are looking forward to getting our wonderful community together to officially kick-off another wonderful school year together. Additionally, it will be our first official event on our new, beautiful turf field.
Some important details:
- Dinner is free for all!
- Kona Ice will be available for self-pay/purchase.
- Remember to bring a blanket or chairs to picnic on.
- Music, play, and community!
- We need your help to pull this great event off and keep our costs low.

First Meeting for our Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA)!
Please join us for the first PTSA meeting of the year in Room 202A at Dora Moore on Wednesday, September 11th @ 5:30pm. Childcare and snacks provided!
The Dora Moore PTSA needs your help--Please consider giving of your time and talents to support our school this year. There are tons of in-scholol volunteer and advocacy roles and initiatives to support this year.

Sign-up Now for Girls on the Run (GOTR); 3rd - 5th Grade
Calling all 3rd– 5th graders! Get ready to activate your I Can! Power. Lessons help girls build confidence with an I Can mindset. Teams will explore lessons focusing on navigating emotions, healthy communications, positive self-talk, teamwork, and friendships while walking, running, hopping, and skipping their way to a 5K. Girls will build the confidence to try new things.
Girls on the Run starts the week of September 16th. We will meet on Mondays and Thursdays from 4-5:30.

There is a registration fee of $45/girl. You can apply for a scholarship through GOTR to reduce this rate to $25 and if needed the PTSA can cover the fee after the scholarship has been submitted. Dora Moore and the PTSA is committed to every girl participating that wants to regardless of resources. We will cap the team at 18 so register soon!
