Dear DM Families,

We have a fairly uneventful week--Please pay special attention to two things below:

  1. Please consider joining the PTSA in support of Dora Moore at the annual Eagle Soaree. 
  2. No school for all DPS students on April 18th and no school for all Dora Moore students on April 21st.

Hello Dora Moore Community!! We are excited to announce this year’s adults night out event. See the flyer below for more details. You can purchase tickets to the event using THIS LINK. Your ticket purchase will get you one free beverage and an array of appetizers. PLEASE NOTE: we have a free ticket option as we do not want anyone to be excluded from this fun event due to financial reasons. 

Childcare is now available! 

  • Childcare will be provided by vetted sitters through Call Emmy 

  • From 5:45 - 9:00 PM 

  • $18 per child for 2+ hours and includes pizza dinner!!

Congratulations to Dora Moore's MS Girls Basketball Team

Our girls team had a wonderful season--sadly, it came to a close in the league tournament on Saturday morning as we lost in the final four of the playoffs. We are so proud of their efforts this season and they showed incredible growth. We are acutely thankful for Ms. Kelly who took on coaching our team this year for Dora Moore Middle School's final swan-song season. Ms. Kelly poured her heart and soul out for the girls these last couple months and we are so thankful to her. 

The team will be celebrating their great season after school on Monday for a team party!

DPS Vision and Hearing Screening this week for Grades K-3, 5, and 7
 
Dear Parent/Guardian:
 
Denver Public Schools provides free vision, hearing, and dental screening for students as required by the Colorado Department of Education. Screening can help us find early problems that may make learning harder for your child.
Parents/guardians of students will be notified if the results are outside the passing range. If you want your child to receive the screening, you do not need to do anything. If you DO NOT want your student to participate in these screenings, please fill out the information attached and return the form to the school nurse or the teacher before screening starts on Tuesday.
Participation/Engagement Opportunity with the District Accountability Committee
The District Accountability Committee (DAC) is researching the experiences of families, students and staff who have been impacted by the recent school closures. The final result of their research project will be a set of recommendations for the DPS Board of Education to consider, should they have to close schools in the future. Your stories are important and you can participate in two ways:
  1. Complete an anonymous survey
  2.  Attend the virtual conversation

El resultado final de su investigación será un conjunto de recomendaciones que la Junta de Educación de DPS deberá considerar en caso de que se deban cerrar escuelas en el futuro. Sus historias son importantes y pueden participar de dos maneras:
