Medical Emergency After School

Dear Dora Moore Families,

 

We are committed to keeping you informed about events that impact our school and students. I am reaching out today to keep you informed of an incident that occurred after school. 

 

During basketball practice, one of our student athletes suffered a medical emergency. First responders were immediately called and responded to provide care. Guardians were notified and quickly came to the school.

 

We take the safety and well-being of our students very seriously. These incidents can be troubling for students that witnessed it. We have a school psychologist and social worker who are available to support students if ever needed. Additionally, we have plans to collectively meet with all members of the team and Coach Kelly in the morning to process today's event.
