11/06/24, 8:03 AM

Inclement Weather: Morning Drop-off/Entrance

  • 8:30-8:55am Breakfast is served in the cafeteria for all K-8th grade students. After eating, 6th - 8th grade students will go to the gym while K-5th grade students will remain in the cafeteria.

  • 8:45-8:55am K-5th students remain in the cafeteria and WILL NOT go outside like on a normal day. Students are expected to stay seated at their grade-level tables. There is no adult supervision on the playground before school during inclement weather days. At 8:55am, students will be released to their classrooms by grade level with an assigned adult.

    • K - Ms. Teresa & Ms. Courtney

    • 1st - Ms. Jeanette and Ms. Kat

    • 2nd - Ms. Desiree

    • 3rd - Mr. Stefano

    • 4th/5th - Ms. Pam & Mr. Janson
  • 8:55am-9:10 **For students not coming to the cafeteria early** Adults on door duty will open exterior doors (5 minutes early!) to let students in their usual door and make their way directly to their classrooms.  Teachers will remain in their classrooms standing at the threshold to welcome students and monitor hallways. Teachers will not be coming out to the playground!

    • ECE: Door #16 (Remember, due to licensing restrictions, ECE students are not allowed to be dropped off early UNLESS they are already enrolled and registered with Discovery Link)
    • Kinder: Door #2

    • 1st Door: #12

    • 2nd/3rd: Door #7

    • 4th-8th Door: #10

  • 8:55am Discovery Link students walk with their adult to their classes in grades ECE-5th.  6th-8th grade students walk themselves to their classroom.

**As a reminder, no adults are allowed to enter through the Cafeteria or student entrance doors. If you need access to the building, you will need to walk around to the front door (Door #1), buzz the buzzer, sign-in at the office and obtain a visitor pass. We know it is cold and wet, but our priority is safety over convenience**

Inclement Weather: Inside Recess

Inside recess will only be called when the outside temperature below 20 degrees Fahrenheit and/or it is actively raining/snowing. Students need to dress appropriately and plan for outside recess each day.
