Dear DM Families,
Happy April! We cannot believe how fast this school year is going.
We start our annual, state-required CMAS assessments in 3rd - 8th grade this week on Tuesday. Please make sure your students are present and on-time each day!
We focused hard on our school-wide attendance in March! We had an overall attendance of nearly 88% for all students in March--which is the highest monthly attendance rate so far in 2025. However, despite our best efforts we still missed our goal of 90%. Let's keep the focus and shoot for all students present 90% of the time or better in April. A special shout-out to Ms. Callan's 1st grade for winning our March Madness Attendance Bracket Challenge!

PLEASE NOTE: you will be asked to pay a fundraising fee to help support the organization offering us a website and donation platform free of charge. You can opt out of this fee or request to pay a lower fee.
Also, we have a free ticket option as we do not want anyone to be excluded from this fun event due to financial reasons.

Public Meeting RE: Cheesman Park Renovations
Denver Parks & Recreation is hosting a virtual public meeting on Tuesday, April 29th from 5:30 – 6:30 PM to share plans to renovate Cheesman Park's playground, construct a new picnic site, and improve the pedestrian walking path between the Pavilion and the Denver Botanic Gardens. We hope you will attend and help us spread the word about the project. Register for the virtual meeting here

Walking & Park Play Club w/ Ms. Murowski and Ms. Lybeck
The walk & play club will happen Monday's from 4:10pm - 5:00pm. We will walk to Cheesman Park and play on the playground for 20-30ish minutes. It will be unstructured and allow kids to run and play and use all that energy they have! We will have 20 openings for 1st-5th graders.
If you could, send in some snacks for them to picnic at the park while we play.
In order to secure a spot, email both Ms. Murowski and Ms. Lybeck today! They will confirm your spot!
