Important Update for Dora Moore Families

Dear Dora Moore community,
As part of the Denver Schools Thrive Initiative, and using direction from Executive Limitation 18 (EL-18), our school will no longer be offering 6th, 7th, and 8th grade in the 2025-26 school year. Grade-level restructures do not require a decision from the Board of Education and have been confirmed to go into effect for the 2025-26 school year.
A Denver School Thrives Toolkit for Dora Moore Students and Families is available for our school with more information.
SchoolChoice
As part of this transition, our rising 6th graders and current 6th grade and 7th grade students will have the opportunity to participate in the SchoolChoice process. The students of families in the impacted grades specifically will receive a closing school priority. SchoolChoice Round 1 application window opens on Jan. 15, 2025 at 10 a.m. and will remain open through Feb. 18, 2025 at 4 p.m. Learn more about SchoolChoice here.
