Additional Information Regarding Tomorrow's No School Day

As previously communicated, Dora Moore does not have school on Thursday, March 20th.

Thursday, March 20th – No Student Contact Day

  • From Discovery Link & ELCS 4/5th Basketball

    • Extending Learning and Community Schools (ELCS) is aware of the numerous operational closures at DPS Elementary Schools on Thursday, March 20th. This will NOT impact our program offerings (Discovery Link: AM, PM, ELCSports). All programs will be offered at normal times to ensure you have options for childcare and to allow your child(ren) the opportunity to engage in their after school passions. Please note we will NOT be offering full day camps and will only offer the scheduled offerings and times.

      • AM Discovery Link (6:30am - 9:00am) 

      • PM Discovery Link (4:00pm - 6:00pm)

      • ELCSports 4/5th Basketball Game (3:30pm - 4:30pm)

    • We hope that providing your family with some options of child care throughout the day and keeping planned experiences for your child(ren) is helpful. If your family plans to use these programs (specifically AM programs) it is important that you pick up at the appropriate time. If we have students remaining in AM programs after the normal bell time, we will follow our late pick up process. If you will be utilizing PM Discovery Link we kindly ask that you drop your child(ren) off within 30 minutes of program start time/schools PM bell. 

    • If you have already registered or selected days for 3/20 and you would like to use the services, there is no further action needed. If you would like to use these services and are not registered, please make sure you do so by 6am tomorrow (Discovery Link ONLY). If you had previous selected days for Discovery Link and wish to no longer use the services, please update your family managed calendar accordingly by 6am on 3/20.

    • 4th/5th Grade ELCS Basketball Game is being played as scheduled at 4:15pm - 5:15pm at Dora Moore. 

  • Grab-and-Go Meals: Dora Moore students can pick up a free breakfast and lunch at Door 13 (Cafeteria entrance on Corona Street).

    • Pick-up Time: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

    • Breakfast: Pumpkin Bread & Fruit Cup

    • Lunch: Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich, Fruit, Milk

Friday, March 21st – Regular School Day

  • School will follow a regular schedule

  • Enrichment classes and Discovery Link will operate as usual.

Spring Break – March 24th – March 31st

Denver Public Schools’ Spring Break runs from Monday, March 24th, through Monday, March 31st. Students and staff will return on Tuesday, April 1st.
