The Mayor’s Office of Community Outreach is currently focused on launching Community Conversations across the city to support Denverites to get informed, engaged, and identify points of action on the 2024 Citywide Goals. In alignment with the Safe Denver Goal, Mayor Mike Johnston, in partnership with city agencies and City Council, will start this work by hosting a series of Community Conversations around Safety. This has been a priority for many of District 10 residents, Registered Neighborhood Organizations (RNOs), and many other organizations in the area.

The main point of contact from the Mayor’s Office on this is Alex Gutierrez, Senior Outreach Manager: alex.gutierrez@denvergov.org. 

At this Community Conversation, neighbors will engage with representatives and leaders from city agencies including the Department of Safety, the Office of Children’s Affairs, the Office of Human Rights and Community Partnerships, and the Office of Social Equity and Innovation through roundtable conversations following a presentation on the safety measures being taken to support the region. We would love to have you join us and ask that you share the information about the event with your networks and neighbors. The participation of your community will help us elevate the important work already happening in support of the community, and better understand how to address the safety concerns of those living in the area.
