Denver Children's Choir, 2nd-5th Grade: Sign-up Today, Starts Tuesday!

Like last year, we are continuing our partnership with Denver Children's Choir (DCC) and new this year, we are hosting a "Timberline" Choir at Dora Moore on Tuesday's after school--This is exciting!

However, there was some miscommunication between us and DCC around the cost to participate and equitable access to our families. We were finally able to connect and we have some clarification.

  1. We are committed to ensuring that all students have access to this opportunity.
    1. To keep costs low for Dora Moore families, we have agreed to pay DCC a fee of $3,000 and the use of our space. This cuts down on the cost for families and solves one of the transportation barriers if the choir were to be hosted somewhere else.
    2. When registering, families are eligible to choose ANY Tuition Code. Specific to our agreement, Dora Moore families can and should feel comfortable choosing the DCC90 Tuition Code on the last page. Rather than revamp their entire registration form just for us, that code [though originally intended for just qualified assistance], provides the pricing that Dora Moore and DCC agreed to for our families. This should equate to about $90 for the year + a registration fee.
    3. Additionally, should a family need 100% financial assistance please sign up with code above and send Mr. Janson (abram_janson@dpsk12.net) an email and we will take care of it.

Ok! So with that said, please register with the directions below! The first session is on September 5th from 4:15pm - 5:15pm and DCC would like to get at least 15 more students signed up this week!

  2. Use the password: Harmony2324
  3. Click on Registration Open! and get to registering!

2023-2024 School Meal Reminders & Details

  •  All students in DPS will have access to free, nutritious school meals beginning in the 2023-24 school year thanks to the Healthy School Meals for All program approved by Colorado voters! While meals will be provided for free to all DPS students through Healthy School Meals for All, families will still need to complete a form to ensure DPS gets full access to available federal funding.

  • What this means for families:

  • Please continue to fill out the You Benefit! form (formerly referred to as the Meals Application). By completing the form, you will help us access all available funds to cover the cost of meals, and other nutritional programs for students.

  • Families who fill out the You Benefit! form may qualify to receive discounted school fees, class materials, bus passes, utilities support and more!

  • All household income information provided through this form is strictly confidential and protected by law. Only one form is required for all children in the household. Immigration, migrant, citizenship or refugee status is not required when completing the form.

  • Learn more about the Healthy School Meals for All program in a short video in English and Spanish, this flier (Spanish is on page 2), or by visiting the Healthy School Meals for All website.

  • If you have questions about completing the You Benefit! form, please contact the DPS Food & Nutrition Services department by calling 720-423-5600 or emailing the foodservices@dpsk12.org inbox.
