Adult Only Pick-up Basketball Every Tuesday @ DM

In an effort to increase parent, family, and community engagement, we are opening up our gym for drop-in, pick-up/open gym basketball on Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Any adult (18+) in or out of our community is welcome to play!

If you are planning on attending, access to the gym will only be through Door #6. This door is located off of the playground near the play structure and leads directly inside to the gym. DO NOT go to the main office as those doors will be locked.

If you have questions, please reach out to Craig Harcek who is the parent organizing this.

LAST CHANCE: Dora Moore Middle School Swag - Available for Purchase!

Our middle school students asked for an opportunity to have something just for them… so we went to work, we got their feedback and have it live for ordering! It’s pretty drippy!

If you or your student would like another Dora Moore option for the wardrobe, please consider purchasing--We need a minimum of 45 garments ordered in total to go through with the print!

LAST CHANCE: Action Needed! Dora Moore Student T-Shirt Size Needed For Every Current Student

In support of our value of Community and as a symbol that each student belongs and is a part of our community, we are printing and purchasing Dora Moore student shirts for every student! This is different than the middle school shirt above. In order to print the correct amount of each size, we need families to submit their students preferred t-shirt size here: https://forms.gle/WWKArP46eLNisgm48

We cannot guarantee a proper fitting shirt if a family does not submit a size request above.

Survey will be open until 10/23/22!

Halloween Plans @ DM

With Halloween right around the corner, we wanted to make sure you had the most up to date information regarding DM's Halloween plans.

All classes will be hosting Halloween activities on Monday, October 31st. We are pairing up our older classes with our younger classes to collaborate on some Halloween activities. This will occur the last hour of the school day (unless otherwise communicated by your child’s teacher), followed by a school-wide costume parade on the playground at 3:30pm. We will publish a map of the parade path as we get closer.

To help us prepare for Halloween festivities, please plan on sending your child with their costume so they can change into it in the afternoon. As a reminder, the following costume rules apply:

1. No fake weapons of any kind (including but not limited to: knives, swords, guns, lasers, lightsabers, etc.)

2. No blood/gore

3. Halloween masks may not  be worn during the school day due to safety concerns.

4. Shoes must be dress code appropriate

If a student’s costume is deemed inappropriate, we will contact home for a change of clothes.

Teachers will include classroom specific celebration details in their weekly email. If you have any questions about classroom celebrations, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
