We Had a Blast!

That was quite possibly, most likely--the best and smoothest first week of school any of us have ever had! We are so proud of the students showing up each day with their smiles and flexibility to learn new routines and expectations. We are so proud of our teachers for well-planned, thoughtful lessons and activities to foster a loving community.

It's hard to believe, but we have even higher expectations for Week #2!

Back to School Night Details

Back to School Night is Thursday, September 1st from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Dora Moore. Families will enter through our main entrance off of 9th Avenue.

Teachers will be hosting two identical in-person sessions to provide families flexibility to attend.

Session #1 is from 5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Session #2 is from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Back to School Night is a great opportunity for families to learn all about their child's classroom and teacher. With that being said, our sessions are jammed packed with important information! Though we hope that all families can make these sessions, we understand that some may not. Links to the slide deck presentations will be sent out by individual teachers on September 2nd via our app. Families are encouraged to attend with their student to learn more about what their day looks like.

Denver Children's Choir Starts on Tuesday for 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Families!

We have partnered with the Denver Children's Choir to offer a before school choir opportunity for any interested student! Participation is free, open to all, and covered by Dora Moore. 🥰

Please see all of the information below and the permission form is attached as well! The first day of rehearsals will start on this Tuesday, August 30th!

Before & After School Availability

We have a few spots available for before and after school enrichment care. If you are in need of some support, please email abram_janson@dpsk12.net to express interest. The spots are limited so it is first come, first served. Abe will confirm with families if they were able to secure a spot.

Before school begins as early as 7:00am while after school ends at 5:30pm for students who are registered.

We are not able to provide care for any student who is not registered on a particular day.

School Supply Fee

Last call for families to pay for school supplies! This year, in an attempt to be more thoughtful with our resources and also save families money, we have changed the school supply process, we are collecting a suggested school supply fee of $30 per student.

School Supply Fees can be paid on MySchoolBucks! Please click on this link to pay your school supply fee. Be sure to indicate your child’s name in the “Name” field so that we can track this information easily at the school.

If you are unable to pay this at this time, that is ok! We will leave the link open for the first quarter of school.
