Good morning, Denison Montessori community. This morning we held our lockdown drill for the semester. The students and staff responded quickly and completed the drill successfully.
Unfortunately, DPS's Department of Safety and Security had some issues with their automated announcement system, so the announcement played several times before our building was released from the drill. We will provide support to any students who may need assistance processing the extra stress this may have caused.
Please see the attached letters, available in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese, that explain the purpose of the different drills we complete each year in service of keeping our students and staff safe.
Buenos días, comunidad Denison Montessori. Esta mañana llevamos a cabo nuestro simulacro de encierro para el semestre. Los estudiantes y el personal respondieron rápidamente y completaron el simulacro con éxito.
Desafortunadamente, el Departamento de Seguridad y Protección de DPS tuvo algunos problemas con su sistema de anuncios automatizado, por lo que el anuncio se reprodujo varias veces antes de que nuestro edificio saliera del simulacro.
