Good evening, Denison Montessori community! We did it - we made it to the last week of the school year! It has been my honor to support your children and see their academic and socio-emotional growth over the course of the year. Please note that the last day of school is Wednesday, June 5th, with dismissal at noon. It’s official! We have a music teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Her name is Maria Gabriela Garcia and she will be joining us from another DPS school. She is a trained opera performer and plays many instruments. She also teaches private music lessons to several current and former Denison students. We are thrilled to have music instruction returning to Denison in August!
Denison Montessori’s website has lots of information about dates for the 2024-2025 school year. Be sure to check it out here and be ready for 1st-6th grade students to start the new school year on Monday, August 19th!
Tomorrow, June 3rd, Denison Montessori will hold an Afternoon of Service to remember Primary Lead Teacher Liz Harkness. All of our classrooms have been invited to participate. Please check with your child’s teacher to see if they need volunteers to help with their chosen project. After school at 4:00 p.m., we will be planting a tree outside the classroom that will be dedicated to Liz’s memory. If your child was in Ms. Liz’s classroom at some point in their Denison career, we hope you will consider joining us to remember all she did for her students and our school. A short reception will be held in the outdoor classroom following the tree planting.
Denver Public Schools will provide the opportunity for incoming middle school students to participate in clinics geared towards Boys and Girls Swimming and Diving, Boys and Girls Lacrosse, Boys and Girls Tennis, and Boys and Girls Wrestling. These programs listed are hosted by the High School Coaches and are being offered over the summer, as they are not currently a part of the Middle School programming that takes place during the school year. Registration (FamilyID) & Details per program: 2024 DPS Summer Middle School Clinics- Details. Certified High School certified coaches will serve as the lead instructors from various DPS high schools. Students must be incoming 6-8th graders attending DPS Middle Schools.
- Sessions: 4 weeks in June and/or July, 2 days a week/2 hours per day

June 6-27, For Session 1, please register by Monday, June 3.
July 8-Aug 1, For Session 2, please register by Monday, June 17.
Cost: $35 per student per session. My Spark cards can be used to pay the registration fee.
