Good evening, Denison Montessori community! Can you believe this week will be the last 5 day week of the 2024-2025 school year? I’m not quite sure where the year has gone, but it has been my pleasure watching your children grow this year! I especially enjoyed watching everyone participating in Field Day last week. If you get a chance to thank our wonderful PE teacher, Brian Vamosy, for hosting such an incredible event, please be sure to let him know how much you appreciated his work.

Families, please note that dismissal on the last day, June 3rd, is scheduled for 12:00. It’s really important to mark your calendars and plan to pick your students up on time this date, as all school staff have a lot to complete after dismissal before starting summer vacation. We appreciate your support in picking your child up on time this day and every day. Thank you!
The last Collaborative School Committee (CSC) meeting took place last week. Please review the meeting minutes here. They are also available on Denison’s website, denison.dpsk12.org, under Committees.
Families, check out the Denison website, especially if you are starting to look for information about the 2025-2026 school year! On the homepage of our website, you can find all kinds of information in the post titled “2025-2026 Information for New & Returning Families.” There are links to a new family brochure, Denison’s calendar for the upcoming school year, and much, much more. The Colorado Rapids will offer day and evening soccer camps through the Denver/Aurora area this summer. Please see the attached brochure for registration information or email alexis.rudoph@rapidsyouthsoccer.org (attachment on desktop)
The Denver Health Student-Based Health Clinics will be providing mental health support for students over the summer through a program called TRUST for those who may be suicidal or have violent ideation. TRUST stands for Therapeutic Response and Urgent Stabilization Team. You can make a referral using this form or by calling 303-602-8993. TRUST operates year-round and provides access to tiered services.

Reminders

We have a new partner for our Denison school store with lower prices and a larger percent of the purchase price being returned to our school. You can wear cool Denison gear and support our school at the same time! Please see the attached flier for the website or qr code to order new t-shirts. Supplies are limited, so place your order today! If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Idalia in our main office at idalia_gonzales@dpsk12.net.
DPS’s Early Bird Registration starts on Monday, May 5 and ends on Friday, May 23. If you have any questions about completing early registration, please contact Mrs. Alice (alice_cothran@dpsk12.net) in Denison’s main office.
