Update on strong odors on our campus

Good afternoon, Denison Montessori community. In service of keeping our community up to date about issues at our school, I wanted to share the following information about the strong odors that have been reported on our campus recently.
DPS's plumbing department met with a contractor this morning to address the ongoing odor issues we have been experiencing. The contractor will be back at Denison to start work early tomorrow morning to try and determine the cause of the odor. Due to the high likelihood of very strong odors on the playground, we will be closing the blacktop and playground areas tomorrow morning.
- If your 1st - 6th grade student regularly attends recess before school, please drop them off at the main entrance so they can participate in inside recess before school.
- The following classrooms will have different sign-in and sign-out locations on Tuesday, October 29th. Arrival and departure times will remain the same
- Room 102, Ms. Mary, will sign in and out from the front lawn, to the left of main entrance and the flag pole
- Room 103, Ms. Melinda, will sign in and out from the main entrance far left door
- Room 111, Ms. Maria, will sign in and out from the garden on the south end of our campus
- Room 112, Ms. Bami, will sign in and out from the same doors used by Ms. Hanna and Ms. Doreen
