We were so excited to welcome our students back to school this week! Thank you so much for helping to make this a smooth transition for your children. Thank you also for trusting our staff to care for your children, help them learn, and set high expectations for a successful year.

Discover Link Sign-Up

Our FREE after-school program is up and running! Discovery Link is open from 2:45 - 6:00 pm every day for grades K-5. Through Discovery Link you can also sign up for after-school enrichment programs. These will start in September. The programs include:

• Monday
  • Basketball Camp (Grades 1-3)
• Tuesday
  • The Book Den with Ms. Wall! (Grades 4-5)
  • Violin Class (Grades 4-5)
• Wednesday
  • Denver Children’s Choir (Grades 2-5)
• Thursday: 
  • The Book Den with Ms. Wall! (Grades 2-3)
  • Soccer w/ Mr. Marez (Grades 3-5)
• Friday
  • Girl Scouts (Grades K-2)

Attendance Matters

 

Attending school every day makes a difference in every grade. Our school goal is to have at least 95% of students at school every day. So far this year our attendance rate is 94%. We are proud of ECE for having the best attendance so far!

 

Please make sure your children attend each day ready to learn. Reach out to us if you need support with uniforms, transportation, or other resources that may make it challenging to attend school. We are here to partner with you.

CSC Nominations Open

Are you interested in providing feedback about our school and helping us improve? Nominate yourself or another parent/guardian for the Collaborative School Community (CSC) here. We will be electing three Barney Ford parents to serve on the CSC this year. 

 

The Collaborative School Committee (CSC) brings together families, staff, and community members to create and implement a plan to promote high achievement. This committee meets throughout the school year. It is an opportunity for key stakeholders to have a voice in their school including our schedule, budget, improvement plan, and more.

1st Friday Coffee and Conversation: September 1

Join us for Coffee and Conversation every first Friday of the school year from 7:45-8:45. On September 1st we will discuss:

• The Barney Ford rebranding
• Discovery Link after-school program
• Feedback on our new arrival and dismissal system
• Question and Answer with school administration
