Weekly Update: September 26, 2024
09/26/24, 5:33 PM
Dear Families,
It’s hard to believe that September is winding down! As we finish the month, students are getting deeper into their learning. We’ve completed most of our initial testing and have small groups running for math and literacy across the school. Next week is a great time to talk with your child’s teachers about their progress and how you can help at home. Family conferences are next Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:45-7:00 p.m. We want to meet with every family to celebrate and collaborate for your student’s success.
No School Tomorrow
There is no school on Friday because it is a teacher planning day. Discovery Link will host a FREE camp at Barney Ford from 7:00 - 5:30. Please register with Discovery Link to sign up.
Adult English Classes Start on Tuesday
We are partnering with the English Learning Center to offer English Classes for adults in our community. The classes start on October 1st and meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8-10 a.m. Register here.
Oct 2: Denver Police Department Presentation
Our partners at the Denver Police Department will be meeting students in grades K-2 on Wednesday. The presentation focuses on building a positive relationship between students and the police. It also covers when to call 911 and how police can be helpful during emergencies.
Oct. 4th: First Friday Coffee and Conversation
October 4th is First Friday Coffee and Conversation with the principals. Join us for pastries and coffee or tea from 8:00-8:45. This month we will discuss Bully Prevention programs at Barney Ford.
