Dear Families

May celebrates the rich traditions and important contributions of our Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community! From delicious foods to beautiful art forms, AAPI cultures have enriched our school and nation in countless ways. There are several ways to celebrate around Denver this month, including a free AAPI Cultural Fest on May 16.

AAPI Month

This weekend we celebrate Mexican Mother’s Day on Saturday and the US Mother’s Day on Sunday. Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms and grandmothers in our community!

Tonight: 2nd Grade Mother’s Day Celebration

Our second graders have a special Mother’s Day celebration tonight from 5:00-6:30 in the gym. Students do not need to wear their uniform. They are encouraged to wear black pants, any red/pink top, and or dress. Students should arrive at 4:30 and go to the music room.

No School on Friday, May 9

There is no school on Friday, May 9th. Teachers have a planning day to prepare lessons for the remainder of the school year. Discovery Link is open. Please register your students in advance if you would like them to go to Discovery Link.

Attendance Update

Last week’s attendance rate was 88.8%, almost two points lower than last week. At 92.2%, third grade had the highest attendance for the second week in a row. Please help us finish the year strong by showing up on time, ready to learn each day.
