Dear Families,

Tomorrow the whole school will be going to see the Nutcracker ballet together. Please be sure your child is on time to school and wearing their Barney Ford grade-level shirt and uniform pants. All staff members will be on the field trip. Any students who are not going on the field trip will need to stay home. We hope all students attend and enjoy this tradition!

Tomorrow’s Coffee and Conversation

Please join us tomorrow morning at 7:45 for Coffee and Conversation with the principals. The Denver Children’s Advocacy Center will be presenting on preventing child abuse and neglect. They will share about the Safe From the Start program that they are leading at our school.

Drop Off and Pick Up Reminders

Thank you for helping us keep our students and families safe during morning drop off and afternoon pick up. Please listen to the crossing guards and park only in designated areas. Our crossing guards keep the no-parking zones free to improve the flow of traffic. Please practice kindness and respect with them. U-turns are dangerous for our students and staff and should not be done in front of the school. 

Day Camp on December 14th & 15th

Students will be released at 1:00 on Thursday, December 14th and there is no school on Friday, December 15th. Discovery Link is providing care on both days at Barney Ford. Registration is required and we are offering two evening events to help families sign up, December 5 and December 12. Please contact LJ Ollison if you need help signing up.

Attendance Update

Our attendance the week before Thanksgiving was 89.1% and is even lower this week. Please help us reach our 95% goal by sending your children every day that they are well enough to attend. Second grade had the best attendance again at 93.3%.
