🏀Basketball Games
Blue used a total team effort to play their best game of the season. EVERYONE contributed in some way and they got their first win vs. McKinley Thatcher. AJ Hilburn was the player of the game. A short handed White team started off slow and had to adjust to people in new positions, but played hard until the end. They played great defense in the 2nd half. Sophia Kucera was the player of the game. You can see the full schedule of games here.

Giving Feels so Good!
Yesterday we celebrated Friendship Day/ Valentines Day here and McMeen, we had so much fun, love, and sugar around the building!
Some students were struggling with giving a Valentine to classmates who had been mean to them. I had the opportunity to show those students the healing power of giving. When we can show kindness to those who have hurt us, it has the power to heal both people. Our heart feel good when we forgive, be kind, and move on. This action is also a wonderful boundary to set with people who are mean to us, or bullies.
After this beautiful day of giving and some healing, please continue to talk with your student about the power of giving. The power of giving without expectation of something in return is a powerful tool to heal ourselves from mean people in the world. It gives us a way to heal without needing anything from others.
The power of giving is so cool!
