KNDLA Family Communication-Student Incident on 10/30

Dear KNDLA Families,

At KNDLA, student safety is our highest priority. We are committed to keeping our community updated when situations arise that disrupt the safety and learning at campus, which we take extremely seriously and address immediately.

I am writing to inform you about an incident involving KIPP students that happened in the transition after lunch today. Two students exchanged angry words in a verbal altercation. The Campus Security Officer made the decision to use pepper spray on one of the two students. Our staff were quickly able to de-escalate the situation and all students are safe. We are investigating the entirety of the situation and will take appropriate action.

We greatly appreciate the continued trust in our team and the support for our work to ensure that our students are on the path to a choice-filled life.
