Dear KSPA Family,
Welcome back to the 22-23 school year! Our teachers and staff have been working diligently all summer to prepare for school! We are excited to welcome your student back to KIPP Sunshine Peak Academy!
1st Day of School
Monday, August 15 9:15 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.
Advisory Rosters
Expect to receive a text from your students’ advisor on Friday, August 12. Please be sure your student knows their advisor’s name for day 1.
School Supplies
- Zipping binder
- Pencils
- Pencil pouch
- Clear water bottle
Uniforms
- Tops: Any KIPP or KSPA t-shirt, grade level polo or sweater
- Bottoms: Khaki, tan, black, brown pants, capris, skirts or shorts of appropriate length. Black jeans are allowed with no rips
- Friday: Jeans are allowed, no rips
- Shoes: Any color, closed toed
Uniforms can be purchased at the front office. We are currently running low on 5th and 6th uniforms. We will send an email when more uniforms come in. If your student does not have a uniform yet, please notify the front office.
Arrival and Dismissal: In order to ensure the safety of our students and staff, please follow the arrival and dismissal protocol below.
- Doors open at 9:05 a.m. for arrival. For dismissal, you may NOT enter the turn-about until 4:00 p.m.
- DO NOT park in the turn-about area. If you need to come into the building, park in the parking lot at the top of the hill by the storage containers.
- Form 1 line when entering the KSPA parking lot on Tejon St.
- Exit on the right traffic lane and turn RIGHT ONLY.
- Walkers must cross at the designated cross walks.
- DO NOT ask your student to cross the street to enter your car.
- Follow all traffic directions from KSPA staff members.

If you need information about the bus routes, contact DPS transportation at 720-423-4600.
Boys and Girls Club (Before School Care)
A representative from the Boys and Girls club will be at KSPA Monday during arrival to answer any questions. Also, a flyer about Boys and Girls club will be sent home with your student on Monday.
